Absolutely! Penny is designed for ages 3 to 103. Many of our customers are adults who love the portable comfort and organic materials.
How much does Penny weigh?
Penny weighs ~3.5 lb. total. She weighs 1.5 lb on her own and comes with 2x 1 lb. weights.
Why does Penny cost more than cheaper weighted bears?
Penny is made with GOTS-certified organic cotton and hypoallergenic, organic KAPOK filling. Most cheaper bears use synthetic materials with unknown chemicals.
How do I adjust the weight?
Simply add or remove the 1 lb. weight pouches through Penny's back zipper. Use zero, one, or both pouches to find your perfect pressure.
Is Penny safe for people with allergies?
Yes! Penny uses organic cotton and hypoallergenic KAPOK filling with no harsh dyes, chemicals, or synthetic materials.
How do I heat/cool the weights?
Heat: Microwave weights for 60 seconds (never microwave Penny herself).
Cool: Freeze weights with or without Penny in a bag for 1+ hours.
Penny will also come with instruction.
How long does hot/cold last?
Heat can last up to 90 minutes. Cold can last up to an hour. Perfect for targeted relief when you need it most.
What's your return policy?
Don't love Penny? Return within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We even cover the return shipping.
How do I clean Penny?
Spot clean with warm water and mild soap, then air dry. Remove weights before cleaning.
Are there any allergens in Penny's stuffing?
Penny's interior filling is organic and hypoallergenic.

Penny is a great addition to the Percy family (I have 2 Pennys and 5 Percys). Penny has the same adorable face and glasses. Her skin is soft in a more plush/felt way versus Percy's soft fur. Her weight tends to distribute lower in her body, but sometimes this is nice since her arms are weighted and at times it gives a space to keep your arm in a good hug spot. It is neat how you can take out and put in the weighted hearts - and the fact they are hearts makes me smile. I love Penny and Percy both very much and each is soothing, calming, and a good support. Another excellent job by For the Cubs
I am very pleased with the Penny Bear. I like the material that she is made of. It doesn’t tickle the arms as I hold it. The size is great for holding or hugging.
